In 2011 Good Shepherd Center established a partnership with the University of Southern California's Master of Social Work program to enhance the services we offer and to provide an opportunity for these interns to develop the professional skills they need.  One immediate and major benefit was that we were able to begin providing case management services to the women and families who come to us through our Drop In Program, even if they are not yet residents at Good Shepherd Center. The interns have also developed Life Skills presentations on topics ranging from Anger Management to Healthy Eating. All students complete a six month field internship at Good Shepherd Center in individual, group, family and community outreach services.  It is a pleasure working with these eager students, and we look forward to building on these great projects in the New Year!
