Imagine hearing a child say that there is no food in the refrigerator and that "Mommy" doesn't get paid till next week. We do our best to provide supplimental food to the women living in transitional and semi permanent housing (mothers with children) but with the growing numbers of persons living on the streets this has become an ever increasing challenge.
If you have a fruit bearing tree, a garden, or find a great deal at the grocery store, please consider a donation to Good Shepherd Center. Contact Annemarie at (213) 482-1834 X 117 to see where to bring the donation. You may also donate gift cards to Ralphs, Food4Less, or Target, in small denominations ($25.00-$50.00). These can be given to the residents who are in greatest need of food.
