Good Shepherd Center stands out from other shelters and the best way to experience that is by touring our facilities. If you would like to be involved with our organization, as a donor or a volunteer, we invite you to visit our Woman's Village which consists of two transitional homes and a long-term residence for women and children.  Our emergency shelter is located just a couple blocks away and makes a lovely addition to the tour, as this is where GSC first opened in 1984.

Our beautiful facilities provide a safe haven for women and their children as they work on bettering themselves and their futures.  Here, they find love, respect, support and opportunity—and a place they can call home.

Call (213) 482-1834 to schedule your tour so that you can see firsthand how Good Shepherd Center is rebuilding the lives of homeless women and children.

Tours are offered Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm as well as one Saturday a month at 10:00 am.

If you are interested in a tour on the weekend, we will be providing a tour of Good Shepherd Center on Saturday, March 11th at 10:00 am. The tour takes a little more than an hour and will be followed by a Volunteer Information and Orientation. If you are interested in volunteering or learning how how you can get involved (e.g. donating, serving on our Auxiliary Board, or assisting with fund-raising), we strongly encourage you to participate in the tour.

Those that attend the Volunteer Information and Orientation portion will:

  • Learn more about Good Shepherd Centers' programs
  • Learn about current volunteer opportunities
  • Have an opportunity to fill out a volunteer application
